The Nepal Motorbike Tour is a 7-day Royal Enfield journey designed for riders who want to experience Nepal beyond one destination. This route connects the cultural energy of Kathmandu, the jungle landscape of Chitwan, the sacred Buddhist pilgrimage of Lumbini, the hill-town charm of Tansen in Palpa, and the lakes of Pokhara before returning to Kathmandu.

A 7-day Nepal motorbike tour designed for riders who want to experience Nepal's culture, wildlife, Buddhist heritage, hill roads and Himalayan scenery without committing to a high-altitude motorcycle expedition.

You don't stop riding when you get old; you get old when you stop riding.

Unlike high-altitude Himalayan motorbike routes, this itinerary keeps the riding moderate and accessible while still offering a wide variety of scenery. Riders move from urban streets and river highways to subtropical forests, open Terai plains, historic towns, quiet lakeside roads, and mountain-view sections. The experience is ideal for travelers who want a balanced combination of riding freedom, nature, culture, wildlife, spirituality and comfort.

Gateway Adventure arranges the trip with selected hotels and resorts, Royal Enfield motorcycles, route briefing, guide support, basic mechanical backup, and flexible sightseeing. The route is suitable for confident riders with regular road experience, and optional support vehicle arrangements are available for added convenience.

Why This Nepal Ride Is Special

Useful Information

Permits and Documents

This trip donot need any special permit. In case of the Chitwan National Park permit, it is included in the package and will be provided at the Chitwan hotel.

Safety and Support

Rider safety is managed through route briefing, group riding discipline, guide coordination, basic mechanical assistance, and emergency communication support. A support vehicle is recommended for luggage, spare parts and rider assistance, especially for larger groups or private departures. Riders must follow guide instructions, avoid speeding and never ride under the influence of alcohol.

Best Time for Nepal Motorbike Tour

The best seasons for this tour are spring (February to May) and autumn (September to November). These months usually provide comfortable riding temperatures, clearer skies, and better road visibility. Winter can also be possible because the route stays at low altitude, but mornings and evenings may be cooler. The monsoon period can bring heavy rain, slippery roads, traffic disruption, and reduced visibility, so it is less ideal for motorbike touring.

Difficulty Level

This tour is rated moderate. It is not a high-altitude or technical off-road expedition, but riders should be confident handling a motorcycle on busy city streets, curving highways, occasional rough patches, wet roads, village traffic, and long riding days. A minimum of regular road riding experience is strongly recommended.

Riding Style and Motorcycle

Gateway Adventure usually provides Royal Enfield Classic 350 cc motorcycles or similar models suitable for Nepal's mixed road conditions. These bikes are comfortable for highway touring, easy to repair locally, and practical for group rides. Before departure, the guide and mechanic will inspect the motorcycles and give basic route and safety instructions.

Accommodation and Meals

Accommodation is arranged in hotels and resorts based on the selected package category. Kathmandu, Lumbini and Pokhara stays are generally in three-star or similar hotels, while Chitwan is arranged in a resort-style property. Breakfast is included in most hotel stays, and full board meals are included during the Chitwan section as per the itinerary. Other meals depend on the final package plan.

Travel Insurance

Each rider should arrange travel insurance that covers motorbike riding, medical treatment, accident expenses, emergency evacuation, trip interruption, and personal liability. Motorcycle damage, third-party claims and personal accident-related costs are not included in the package unless specifically covered by the rider's own insurance policy.

Reviews from Riders

A fantastic way to see Nepal

★★★★★
Colin Smith, United Kingdom
Nepal Motorbike Tour, October 2026

I had a great experience riding through Nepal. The route gave us a really good mix of riding, from the roads around Kathmandu to Chitwan, Lumbini, Tansen, and finally Pokhara. The Royal Enfield Classic 350 was comfortable and easy to ride, especially on the longer days. The team was helpful throughout the trip and knew the roads very well. I particularly enjoyed the hill roads around Tansen and the approach to Pokhara.

More than just a motorcycle trip

★★★★★
Friedrich, Germany

What I liked most about this Nepal motorcycle tour was the variety. We were not riding all day without stopping. There was time to visit Chitwan, explore Lumbini, walk around historic Tansen, and enjoy Pokhara as well. The riding itself was excellent, especially once we left the busy Kathmandu Valley. The Classic 350 suited the trip perfectly, and the whole journey felt well organised.

Great combination of riding and culture

★★★★★
Lisa Falk | Australia

I wanted a motorcycle tour in Nepal, but I also wanted to experience the country beyond the famous mountain roads. This itinerary was a great choice. Chitwan and Lumbini were completely different from the Kathmandu Valley, and Tansen was one of my favourite stops. The roads through the hills were fun without being an extreme off-road ride. Gateway Adventure arranged everything smoothly, and the guides were always available when we needed help.

The Royal Enfield was perfect for the route

★★★★★
 André| France

The Royal Enfield Classic 350 was exactly what I was looking for. It has a relaxed riding position and enough power for the highways and hill roads we travelled. I enjoyed riding at a slower pace and having time to look at the villages, farms, and landscapes along the way. The trip was a very good introduction to motorcycle touring in Nepal.

Kathmandu to Pokhara by motorcycle was unforgettable

★★★★★
Nick Dimeo| United States

This was my first motorcycle tour in Nepal, and I was not sure what to expect from the roads. The experience was much more enjoyable than I imagined. Every day was different, from the lowlands around Chitwan and Lumbini to the winding roads toward Tansen and Pokhara. The guides were patient and experienced, and we never felt rushed. I would definitely consider coming back for a longer Himalayan motorcycle tour.

A great first Nepal motorcycle adventure

★★★★★
Jan de Jong | Netherlands

The 7-day itinerary was a good length for us. We wanted to ride a motorcycle through Nepal but did not have enough time for a long expedition. This tour gave us a little bit of everything: heritage, wildlife, local villages, hill roads and beautiful mountain scenery. The organisation was good, and communication before the trip was also very helpful.

Well organised from beginning to end

★★★★★
Noah Müller | Switzerland

From the first briefing in Kathmandu to the final ride back into the city, everything was well organised. The motorcycle was checked before we started and the team explained the route and riding conditions clearly. I enjoyed the freedom of travelling by motorcycle while still having the support of a local team. A very enjoyable way to discover Nepal.

I would go to other places again with Gateway Adventure Treks and Expedition.

★★★★★
Chaitanya Pulagala| India

We wanted something different from a normal Nepal sightseeing tour, and travelling by motorcycle made a big difference. The journey through Chitwan, Lumbini, Tansen and Pokhara gave us a chance to see many different sides of Nepal. The riding was enjoyable, the scenery was beautiful, and the team was friendly and supportive throughout the trip. Next time, I would like to try Upper Mustang.

Day-wise Itinerary
Detailed itinerary for 7 Days Nepal Motorbike Tour Kathmandu, Chitwan, Lumbini & Pokhara

Welcome to Nepal. After completing arrival formalities at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be received by the Gateway Adventure team and transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu.

Later in the day, the guide will conduct a tour briefing covering the route, riding discipline, traffic behavior, safety rules, luggage handling, emergency procedures and daily schedule. The motorcycles will be inspected, and riders can request minor adjustments where possible.

In the evening, we take a short familiarization ride around the Kathmandu area. This helps riders adjust to left-side traffic, local road flow and Royal Enfield handling before the longer ride begins the next morning.

Day highlights

  • Airport arrival and private transfer
  • Route briefing and safety orientation
  • Royal Enfield inspection and test ride
  • Free time around Thamel
  • Transport: Airport Pickup
  • Max altitude: 1350 m
  • Accomodation: Hotel in Kathmandu
  • Meals included: NA

After breakfast, the first full riding day begins as we leave Kathmandu through its busy outskirts and join the highway toward the south. The route follows river valleys, hillsides, roadside markets and rural settlements before gradually descending toward the warmer plains of Chitwan.

This day introduces the rhythm of Nepal road travel, with a mix of city traffic, highway curves, river sections and open stretches. We ride at a controlled group pace, making short stops for photos, hydration and rest.

Upon arrival in Sauraha, we check into the resort near Chitwan National Park. The evening is relaxed, with time to rest, enjoy the resort setting and prepare for the next day's jungle activities.

Day highlights

  • First full riding day
  • River valley and hill highway scenery
  • Arrival in Sauraha, the tourism hub near Chitwan National Park
  • Comfortable resort stay
  • Distance: 146 km
  • Time: 4 to 5 Hours
  • Max altitude: 1415 m
  • Accomodation: Hotel/Lodge
  • Meals included: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner

Today is a rest day for the motorcycles and an active day for nature exploration. Chitwan National Park is known for its riverine forests, grasslands, wetlands and rich wildlife habitat.

Depending on the confirmed program, the day may include a jeep safari, canoe ride on the Rapti River, birdwatching, guided nature walk, visit to the elephant breeding centre area where permitted, and Tharu cultural program in the evening.

Wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed, but the park is well known for one-horned rhinoceros, deer, crocodiles, wild boar, many bird species and, with great luck, larger predators. The day gives riders a meaningful break before returning to the road.

Day highlights

  • Jeep safari or guided jungle program
  • Canoe ride and river wildlife observation
  • Tharu cultural experience
  • Rest and bike check day
  • Transport: Jeep Safari
  • Max altitude: 415 m
  • Accomodation: Hotel
  • Meals included: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner

After breakfast, we leave Chitwan and ride across the Terai plains toward Lumbini. Compared with the hill highways, this section is flatter and more open, but riders should remain careful because of local traffic, towns, intersections, and changing road conditions.

Lumbini is one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage destinations in the world. After arrival, we visit the main sacred area, the marking stone and sculpture of nativity inside the Maya Devi Temple, the remarkable Ashok Pillar, monastic zones, the Eternal Peace Flame area, and the World Peace Pagoda area as time allows.

  • Distance: 129 km
  • Time: 5 to 6 Hours including sightseeing time
  • Max altitude: 150 m
  • Accomodation: Hotel
  • Meals included: Breakfast + Dinner

Today we ride from the plains toward the hill region, making this one of the most varied riding days of the tour. The route leaves Lumbini and moves through Butwal before climbing toward Palpa and Tansen.

Tansen is a historic hill town known for its old streets, Newari-influenced culture, local textiles and views from the surrounding ridges. If time, road condition and group pace allow, we may include a scenic detour toward the Rani Mahal area, an old palace set above the Kali Gandaki River.

From Palpa, the route continues through changing hill landscapes toward Pokhara. As we approach the lake city, the ride becomes smoother and more relaxed. After hotel check-in, the evening is free around Lakeside.

Day highlights

  • Paved highway + winding hill roads
  • Transition from Terai plains to hill roads
  • Tansen, Palpa cultural stops
  • Optional Rani Mahal detour where conditions allow
  • Arrival in Pokhara and Lakeside evening
  • Distance: 214 km
  • Time: 6 to 7 Hours, depending on stops and road conditions
  • Max altitude: 822 m
  • Accomodation: Hotel
  • Meals included: Breakfast

We begin the day in Pokhara, with the possibility of beautiful mountain views on a clear morning. After breakfast, we start the final riding section back to Kathmandu along the Prithvi Highway.

The route follows rivers, hill slopes, market towns, and classic highway curves. Depending on time and road conditions, we may make short scenic stops around Bandipur, Manakamana viewpoint area, or riverbank towns along the way.

After arriving in Kathmandu, riders return the motorcycles and check into the hotel. In the evening, a farewell dinner can be arranged at a Nepali restaurant to celebrate the completion of the around  700 km Royal Enfield Motorcycle Tour Nepal.

Day highlights

  • Final long ride of the tour
  • Prithvi Highway and river valley scenery

Frequently asked Questions about 7 Days Nepal Motorbike Tour Kathmandu, Chitwan, Lumbini & Pokhara

Our Nepal Motorbike Tour includes the services and arrangements specified in the package, including accommodation, motorcycle, riding guide and the planned sightseeing and activities included in the itinerary. The exact inclusions should be checked in the What's Included section because items such as meals, fuel, personal expenses, travel insurance and optional upgrades may be separate.
The standard motorcycle for this tour is the Royal Enfield Classic 350. It is a comfortable motorcycle for Nepal's highways, winding hill roads, and longer touring days. A different motorcycle, such as the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, may be available as an upgrade, subject to availability and additional cost.
Yes. The Royal Enfield Classic 350 is well suited to this particular route. The tour does not require extreme off-road riding or high-altitude technical riding. The route combines highways, paved roads and winding hill sections between Kathmandu, Chitwan, Lumbini, Tansen and Pokhara. The Classic 350 offers a relaxed riding position and manageable performance, making it a good choice for riders who want to enjoy the scenery and destinations as well as the riding experience.
Yes, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 can be requested as an upgrade, subject to availability. The Himalayan 450 is a more adventure-oriented motorcycle with greater ground clearance and a different riding position from the Classic 350. It can be a good choice for riders who prefer an adventure motorcycle or are planning to extend their trip to more challenging roads. Please contact us when booking if you would like to request a motorcycle upgrade.
Yes. You must hold a valid motorcycle driving licence that permits you to ride the motorcycle category you will use during the tour. For international riders, we recommend carrying your valid home-country motorcycle licence together with an International Driving Permit (IDP) where applicable. Nepal's Department of Transport Management is responsible for the country's driving-licence system, and requirements can depend on the rider's circumstances and documents. We will advise you about the documents required for your trip before arrival.
International riders should travel with the appropriate valid motorcycle licence and supporting international documentation. An International Driving Permit is strongly recommended for foreign riders, particularly because it provides an internationally recognisable version of your driving credentials. Your licence must be valid for motorcycles. A licence that only permits you to drive a car is not sufficient for riding a motorcycle in Nepal.
We consider this a moderate motorcycle tour, mainly because of the daily riding distances, traffic, road conditions and winding hill roads rather than extreme terrain. The route does not involve the high-altitude or technically demanding riding found on tours such as Upper Mustang. However, riders should be comfortable controlling a motorcycle for several hours a day and should have previous motorcycle riding experience.
You should be comfortable riding a motorcycle in traffic, changing gears, braking on descents, and handling winding roads. Nepal's traffic can be heavy, and road conditions can change unexpectedly, so confidence and good judgement are important. If you are unsure whether your experience is sufficient, contact us before booking and tell us what type of motorcycle you normally ride.
The distance varies by day. The longer riding sections include approximately: Kathmandu to Chitwan: around 145–150 km Chitwan to Lumbini: around 125–160 km, depending on the final route Lumbini to Tansen and Pokhara: around 200+ km Pokhara to Kathmandu: around 200–210 km Road conditions, traffic, weather and stops can affect the actual riding time. The Kathmandu–Pokhara section in particular is a working highway rather than a fast motorway, so distance should not be judged only by kilometres.
The route uses a mixture of highways, urban roads and winding hill roads. Much of the route is paved, but riders should expect traffic, road construction, uneven surfaces, slow-moving vehicles and occasional delays. Conditions can change according to weather and ongoing road improvements. We therefore avoid promising a fixed riding time for every section. The experience is very different from an extreme Himalayan off-road expedition. This tour is designed around exploring Nepal by motorcycle while enjoying its culture, wildlife, heritage and landscapes.
For this particular Kathmandu–Chitwan–Lumbini–Tansen–Pokhara route, autumn and winter are especially comfortable, with October and November offering generally pleasant riding conditions and good visibility. March and April are also good months for riding, although the Terai areas such as Chitwan and Lumbini become warmer as spring progresses. December to February can be excellent for the lower-altitude sections because the Terai is relatively comfortable for riding during winter. The main trade-off is that mountain visibility around Kathmandu and Pokhara can sometimes be affected by winter haze. The monsoon months from June to September can bring heavy rain, wet roads, landslides and delays, so riders should be prepared for changing conditions. Seasonal suitability also varies significantly between Nepal's lowlands, hills and high-altitude routes.
The tour can be discussed for monsoon-season travel, but we do not recommend choosing your dates without considering the weather and road conditions. Heavy rainfall can affect highway travel, particularly through hilly areas. Landslides, flooding, poor visibility and road delays are possible during the monsoon. If you are travelling between June and September, we will check the current road and weather situation and advise you accordingly.
This standard route does not pass through the restricted areas that require the special permits associated with destinations such as Upper Mustang. However, individual attractions and protected areas can have their own entrance fees or regulations. We will arrange or explain the applicable requirements as part of your tour preparation.
We recommend bringing your own properly fitting riding gear whenever possible. At minimum, riders should use an appropriate helmet and protective motorcycle clothing. Riding gloves, protective footwear and suitable riding trousers are also strongly recommended. If you have questions about what to bring, we can provide a detailed packing and riding-gear checklist before your trip.
Suitable arrangements can be made on request.
Fuel arrangements depend on the package you book. Please check the current What's Included section or confirm with us when requesting a quotation. We recommend making this clear in the final quotation so there is no confusion about fuel, motorcycle rental and other riding-related expenses.
Before departure, the motorcycle is checked and prepared for the journey. If a mechanical problem occurs during the tour, our local team will assist with the necessary arrangements. Depending on the problem and location, this may involve roadside repair, arranging a replacement motorcycle or taking another appropriate solution. Nepal's roads can be remote in some areas, so response time can vary according to the location and nature of the problem.
Yes. This itinerary can be customized depending on your available time, interests, and preferred riding style. You can ask us about: Additional nights in Kathmandu Extra time in Chitwan Additional nights in Pokhara Different hotel categories Motorcycle upgrades Private departures Additional sightseeing Extensions to other motorcycle routes If you want a more challenging Himalayan ride, we can also discuss extending or changing the itinerary to a route such as Manang or Upper Mustang.
Yes, but Upper Mustang is a very different type of motorcycle experience. The standard Nepal Motorbike Tour is designed around relatively accessible destinations including Chitwan, Lumbini, Tansen and Pokhara. Upper Mustang involves higher altitude, more demanding road conditions and additional permit arrangements. If Upper Mustang is your main objective, we recommend choosing a dedicated Upper Mustang Motorbike Tour rather than trying to add it to this 7-day itinerary.
Yes, a private tour can be arranged for a solo rider, subject to the applicable single-rider pricing. For solo travellers, the cost per person is normally higher because some tour expenses are shared across the group. Contact us with your preferred travel dates, and we can provide the exact quotation.
Yes. Couples, friends, and small groups can request a private departure. Private departures allow you to travel at a more comfortable pace and can also make it easier to customize accommodation, sightseeing, and motorcycle choices.
The cost depends on the number of riders, accommodation arrangement, motorcycle choice and optional services. Our current 7-day Nepal Motorbike Tour is priced according to group size, with the per-person rate becoming lower for larger groups. For the most accurate price, contact us with your preferred travel dates and number of riders.
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that specifically covers motorcycle riding and the activities included in your itinerary. Check the policy carefully before purchasing it. Some travel insurance policies exclude motorcycle riding or apply conditions based on engine size, licence requirements or riding experience.
We don't just take you through Nepal. We help you experience Nepal from the road. A motorcycle tour in Nepal is not simply about covering kilometres between two destinations. The real experience happens along the way: the changing landscape, small towns and villages, mountain roads, local people, historic sites, food, culture and the unexpected moments that you remember long after the ride is over. Local Knowledge. Personal Service. We are a Nepal-based adventure travel company with local knowledge of Nepal's roads, destinations and travel conditions. Our motorcycle journeys are planned with practical riding distances, road conditions, accommodation, and seasonal conditions in mind. Designed Around the Rider We understand that every rider is different. Whether you prefer a relaxed Royal Enfield Classic 350, an adventure-oriented Himalayan 450, a private departure or a more challenging Himalayan route, we help match the journey to your riding experience and interests. From Classic Nepal to the High Himalaya Our motorcycle tours range from accessible routes through Kathmandu, Chitwan, Lumbini, Tansen and Pokhara to more demanding Himalayan adventures such as Manang and Upper Mustang. We combine the freedom of motorcycle travel with the support of a local team, so you can concentrate on the ride and the experience.

  Recommended Riding Profile

This tour is best suited for riders with previous motorbike experience, especially on rough or mixed terrain. You do not need to be a professional rider, but you should be confident handling a motorcycle for long hours and comfortable with gravel roads, dust, water crossings, and uphill or downhill switchbacks.

Recommended experience:

  • Comfortable riding 5 to 7 hours per day
  • Basic off-road riding ability
  • Ability to stand on foot pegs during rough sections
  • Good balance and control on gravel or sandy tracks
  • Moderate physical fitness
  • Understanding of altitude and remote travel conditions

Physical & Riding Readiness

  • Terrain: Expect deep sand patches, loose scree, sharp rocks, and water crossings. Standing on pegs is essential.
  • Support: Fully supported tours include a backup jeep, mechanic, and guide. Self-supported solo is high-risk due to remote breakdowns.

Bike Requirements & Recommendations

For the Nepal Motorbike Tour, we recommend using a reliable adventure or dual-sport motorcycle suitable for high-altitude off-road riding, gravel tracks, sandy sections, river crossings, and steep mountain trails. The right bike makes the journey safer, smoother, and more enjoyable.

Not Recommended:
Heavy street touring motorcycles or large adventure bikes weighing over 220 kg are not recommended for this route. The terrain includes narrow tracks, rocky sections, sand, water crossings, and steep switchbacks, where heavy bikes can become difficult to control, especially at altitude.

Gateway Adventure Recommendation:

For most riders, the  Royal Enfield Classic 350 cc or Royal Enfield Himalayan 450cc is one of the most practical choices for this tour. They are powerful enough for the Nepal route, easier to handle on rough terrain, and well-suited for Nepal’s rough roads. These bikes offer a good balance of control, durability, and handling on rough Himalayan terrain.

Why Gateway Adventure Treks and Expedition?

We don't just take you through Nepal. We help you experience Nepal from the road.

A motorcycle tour in Nepal is not simply about covering kilometres between two destinations. The real experience happens along the way: the changing landscape, small towns and villages, mountain roads, local people, historic sites, food, culture and the unexpected moments that you remember long after the ride is over.

At Gateway Adventure Treks and Expedition, we design our motorcycle journeys around that experience.

We are a Nepal-based adventure travel company with a strong focus on motorcycle touring, trekking, heritage, spiritual and cultural journeys. Our approach is local, practical and personal. Rather than treating every traveller as part of the same package, we consider the rider, the route, the season and the kind of experience they are looking for.

Local knowledge that matters on the road

Nepal's roads can be very different from what international riders are accustomed to. Distances on a map do not always tell the whole story. Traffic, road conditions, weather, construction, mountain terrain, and local conditions can all change the riding experience.

Our local team understands these realities.

We plan our routes with practical riding conditions in mind, choose appropriate overnight stops and adjust the journey when necessary. The objective is not simply to reach the next destination, but to make the ride enjoyable, safe and meaningful.

Motorcycle touring with a deeper connection to Nepal

We believe a good motorcycle tour should show you more than the road.

Our routes connect riders with the many sides of Nepal: ancient cities and temples, Buddhist and Hindu heritage, wildlife, traditional villages, mountain landscapes and the everyday life of the country.

On our Nepal Motorbike Tour, for example, the journey takes you from Kathmandu through Chitwan, Lumbini, Tansen and Pokhara. Each destination offers a different experience, and the road connecting them becomes part of the journey itself.

We build tours for riders, not just itineraries

Two riders can travel the same route and have completely different expectations.

Some want a relaxed ride with comfortable hotels and plenty of time for sightseeing. Others want longer riding days, more challenging roads or an adventure motorcycle. Some travellers are interested mainly in motorcycles, while others want to combine riding with Nepal's history, culture and landscapes.

That is why we offer private departures, motorcycle options, accommodation upgrades and customized itineraries where possible.

Our job is to understand what you want from the journey and then build the right experience around it.

From a 7-day introduction to a Himalayan motorcycle expedition

Our motorcycle programme is not limited to one type of rider or one type of landscape.

For riders looking for a comfortable introduction to Nepal, our 7-day Nepal Motorbike Tour combines Kathmandu, Chitwan, Lumbini, Tansen and Pokhara.

For experienced riders looking for a more demanding Himalayan experience, we can arrange routes into higher and more remote regions, including destinations such as Manang and Upper Mustang, subject to the required permits, road conditions and seasonal accessibility.

This gives riders the opportunity to choose a journey that matches their experience and ambition rather than forcing every traveller into the same itinerary.

Responsible, realistic and transparent travel

We believe good adventure travel begins with honest information.

We do not promise perfect roads, fixed riding times or conditions that cannot be guaranteed. Nepal is a living Himalayan destination, and roads and weather can change.

Instead, we give riders practical information before they travel so they can make informed decisions about motorcycles, riding distances, accommodation, weather, road conditions and the level of adventure involved.

Your journey, supported by a local team

When you ride with Gateway Adventure Treks and Expedition, you are not simply purchasing a motorcycle rental.

You are travelling with a local team that can assist with route planning, accommodation, logistics, sightseeing and unexpected situations along the way.

We want you to have the freedom of travelling by motorcycle while knowing that experienced local support is available when you need it.

More than a motorcycle tour company

Motorcycle touring is one part of what we do.

Our wider experience across trekking, heritage tours, spiritual journeys, mountain experiences, wildlife, cultural travel and adventure tourism allows us to create journeys that go beyond a standard motorcycle itinerary.

You may arrive in Nepal for the riding, but along the way you can discover the history, spirituality, landscapes and people that make Nepal such a remarkable destination.

Ride Nepal with us, and let the road become part of the destination.

A fantastic way to see Nepal

I had a great experience riding through Nepal. The route gave us a really good mix of riding, from the roads around Kathmandu to Chitwan, Lumbini, Tansen, and finally Pokhara. The Royal Enfield Classic 350 was comfortable and easy to ride, especially on the longer days. The team was helpful throughout the trip and knew the roads very well. I particularly enjoyed the hill roads around Tansen and the approach to Pokhara.
