Pisang Peak Climbing is a classic Himalayan climbing journey in the Annapurna region of Nepal, designed for trekkers who want to experience both mountain culture and a real 6000-meter summit. Pisang Peak rises to 6,091 meters in the Manang district and is listed by the Nepal Mountaineering Association as a climbing peak in the Damodar range.

This journey follows the famous Annapurna route through Dharapani, Chame, Upper Pisang, Manang, Thorong La Pass, Muktinath, and Pokhara. The climbing section leads from Upper Pisang to Pisang Base Camp and High Camp before the summit push. The peak offers exceptional views of Annapurna II, Annapurna IV, Gangapurna, Tilicho Peak, Manaslu, Chulu range, and the wide Manang Valley. Pisang Peak is often described as a rewarding but physically demanding trekking peak, suitable for fit trekkers with basic mountaineering preparation.

The first ascent of Pisang Peak was made by a German expedition in 1955, giving the mountain a respected place in Nepal’s climbing history. Gateway Adventure Treks presents this package as a premium, safety-focused climbing experience with professional guidance, proper acclimatization, climbing training, high-altitude support, comfortable logistics, and carefully managed service from arrival to departure.

Best Time for Pisang Peak Climbing

The best seasons for Pisang Peak Climbing are spring, March to May, and autumn, September to November. These months usually provide more stable weather, clearer skies, better visibility, and safer climbing conditions in the Himalayas.

Pisang Peak Climbing is a moderate to challenging climbing trip. It is suitable for strong trekkers who are physically fit and ready for long walking days, high altitude, cold conditions, snow slopes, basic rope techniques, and a demanding summit day. Some operators describe the climb as accessible, but experienced sources also warn that the difficulty can be underestimated, especially when rock or snow sections become wet or icy.
